Conor McGregor was about to fight a Gorilla in worlds first inter species MMA fight.
Supposedly Conor McGregor, the biggest name in MMA and boxing at the minute, was in talks with the UFC and WWF (World Wildlife Fund) about a huge cross species fight against a 310lb Gorilla and it was going to go ahead until the controversial death of Harambe this week.
Andrew McGahon of severe mma spoke to us us earlier today and said "This was something Conor wanted to happen and the UFC were backing him 100%".
Conor McGregor also made a statement today saying "The fight was going to happen at UFC200 and at thei Gorillas weight of super sumo weight (300lb), until that Gorilla was shot earlier this week. The WWF don't want to lose another Gorilla and thats what would have happened if the Gorilla came out against me."
I think its safe for me to say that everyone on the planet would want to watch that fight. Imagine the numbers it would generate.
I would love to see how Conor would look at 300lb. Fingers crossed maybe the fight will happen down the road.
