1991 Louth and Laois teams to do battle at UFC 200!
The year is 1991, the location is Croke park for the replay of the Leinster senior semi final. Teams are Louth and Laois.
Nobody in Ireland remembers who won this football match but the 'BRAWL' at the end is being dubbed the best GAA fight ever. The Croke Park museum even has the shorts and gloves of Louth captain Stephen Melia. Speaking about the shorts and gloves was Museum caretaker Jim Byrne who grew up in Castlebellingham.. "Oh its great hey. The left glove still has a flippin' tooth in it hey. i was gonna rob it so i was because i'm missing my right canine so i am, HEY."
Both teams this week have spoken out about their interest in a fight rematch. UFC Dana White is interested in making the fight the main card for UFC 200 saying "This would be huge. We would sell a lot of tickets to Ireland anyway as Conor McGregor is also on the Card as the Co. main event but even he is trying to bring this fight to Las Vegas. It would be AWESOME." The fight is being called Louth V Laois 2.
