Dundalk's famous Market square is to get a make over and YOU have
absolutely no say.

Dundalk’s town council voted last night, in a secret meeting, away from
prying eyes, on a major change to ‘The town’. Our beloved town square
has always been there for us all. From the famous fountain full of suds to
the new water feature we have today, But not for much longer.
Eamon Staunton, 3rd Cousin through marriage of ex Ireland international and
ex manager to The republic of Ireland team, Stephen Staunton, had this to
say to us in an EXCLUSIVE. ”The square, the way it is now is very intimidating so
it is hey, what is the first thing we learned in primary school when learning
shapes? That squares have 4 pointy edges. That’s deadly dangerous so it is.”
He may be right as the number of people injured from the 'pointy edges' on the
square from 1923 to present is a surprising 01. We looked into it further and you
probably guessed who it was who got injured. (it was Eamon himself).
Eamon also let us know what we can look forward to seeing in place of our
legendary square. “We have beautiful plans so we do hey, We’re gonna sand
off the angles until we have a lovely circle. Everyone loves circles.”
You don’t have long left to say good bye to the square you all know and love so
much as 'sanding' is to start in a few days with all the workers coming from up
north because they work for lower money or something.
