Location for the 1916 Easter rising commemoration to be changed!
In an announcement today from Irish water, they tell us just one day
before the 100-year anniversary of the 1916 rising. John Tierney,
managing director or Irish water told the nation “We would like to ask
people to keep the area in front of the GPO, Dublin, clear from 8:30am
to 3:30pm on Sunday 27 of march.”

Taoiseach Enda Kenny kindly reminded him that it is the 100th
anniversary of the Easter rising, John Tierney apparently replied
“Look Enda, I’m doing you a favour here and Sunday is the only
day we have free to get this meter installed.”
Táinaiste Joan Burton says “It’s all the one where we have the recital of the
proclamation. Why not have it at Quinn’s or outside Coppers.”
